Accessing Safari Preferences
AccessingSafari preferencesis the first step towards customizing the browsing experience on your Mac.
You will find the Safari menu located on the far left of the menu bar.
Access Preferences: choose the “Safari” menu to reveal a dropdown list of options.
Towards the bottom of this list, you will find the “Preferences” option.
press “Preferences” to proceed to the next step.
Each tab contains specific prefs that you could customize to enhance your browsing experience.
Navigate to the Security Tab: In the preferences window, locate and choose the “Security” tab.
This is where you will find the tweaks related to the pop-up blocker and other security features.
To turn off the pop-up blocker, simply uncheck this option.
This action effectively disables the pop-up blocker feature in Safari.
once you nail the preferences window open, proceed to the next steps.
Navigate to the Websites Tab: Within the preferences window, locate and choose the “Websites” tab.
This tab houses a range of configs related to website-specific preferences, including those for pop-ups.
Look for the “Pop-up Windows” option and tap on it to reveal the available prefs.
You have the option to allow pop-ups for certain websites while continuing to block them for others.
This level of granularity empowers you to tailor the pop-up blocker to accommodate your browsing requirements.
