With the Myway extension banished, you could proceed to the next crucial phase of the cleanup process.
From the dropdown menu, select “Options” to pull up the Firefox Preferences.
This section allows you to manage your default search engine and other search-related controls.
Managing Search Engine Options: Explore the additional search engine options provided within the Search options.
Remove any search engines that are unfamiliar or appear to be linked to Myway.
This ensures that your browsing queries are not rerouted through undesirable search portals.
From the dropdown menu, select “Help” and then hit “Troubleshooting Information.”
This will kick off the Firefox Troubleshooting Information page.
Clicking on this button initiates the Firefox reset process.
Confirming the Reset: A confirmation dialog will appear, outlining the details of the reset process.
This includes the restoration of Firefox to its default state while retaining essential information such as bookmarks and passwords.
To proceed, hit the “Refresh Firefox” button.
